Do you do character cakes?

Unfortunately, I can’t recreate the likeness of licensed characters. However, I’d be happy to create a wonderful cake that would go with the theme of any topper you provide! You’ll see some character cakes on my social media, but those are gifts :)

What type of frosting do you use?

For cakes, I use Swiss meringue buttercream with some American buttercream for any intricate piping work. Cupcakes are with American buttercream. Macaron fillings vary between ganache, Swiss and American buttercream.

What sizes do your cakes come in?

Bento cakes are 5” in diameter and are around 5” high. Custom cakes are variable.

You don’t have much to choose from, are you going to add more?

Yes! I’m just trying to get started and want to provide items that I’m confident in, I’ve always wanted to start a home cottage bakery and have put it off for a while. Better to start somewhere than not at all.

Why do you have local pickup at a park?

I’m really excited to start selling my baked goods, but reluctant to freely provide my home address where I do business. I like my privacy and don’t want to disrupt my family. Hope you understand!

Do you offer vegan or gluten-free options?

I do not offer cakes that are vegan or gluten-free. While Macarons are inherently gluten-free, I cannot guarantee cross-contamination in my home kitchen.

How do I place an order?

Anything on my set menu is available to order via my website, just choose from the available options, select your quantity, and checkout via the cart on the website. For any custom request, please fill out the form and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours on feasibility and price.

Do you require advance notice for orders?

I do! For my set menu I need 3-5 days, for custom orders I need at least 7 days from the time of payment receipt.

Do you offer delivery or pickup?

I offer local delivery for area codes 43212 (free), and a small fee for zip codes 43221 and 43220. Delivery times are Mondays and Fridays 10am-4pm. Pickup is in Grandview Heights at agreed upon times post purchase.

Do you ship your baked goods?

At this time I do not. In the future I may ship within Ohio. (Ohio Cottage bakeries are not allowed to sell outside the state of Ohio)

Do you make wedding cakes or large orders for events?

Wedding cakes, no. Large orders may be accommodated, just ask! orders@honeywhiskohio.com

Do you provide gift wrapping or packaging?

I can! Just ask please!

What payment methods do you accept?

Apple Pay, Link by Stripe, and all major credit cards.

When is payment needed?

Payment is required upfront to confirm your order. This ensures that your baked goods are reserved and allows us to purchase fresh ingredients and plan accordingly. My set menu will require a payment before checkout. For any accepted custom requests, I will send you an invoice.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

I accept cancellations with a 100% refund 4 days prior to order pick-up. If you are not happy with your order, I’d like to discuss how I can make it up to you on a case by case basis.
